Disability, Riccardi: “A cultural approach is needed to start the change”

Today, the regional councilor for Health, Riccardo Riccardi, spoke in Pordenone at the inauguration of the first fair in Europe dedicated to the care and assistance of elderly, frail and disabled people. Numerous - until May 10 - moments of in-depth analysis focused on the role of the caregiver, the person who daily takes care of the frail or disabled person, with the aim of overcoming material and cultural barriers with an innovative and respectful approach to dignity.

And addressing these issues means, precisely, promoting a real cultural change. It means recognizing that the need for assistance today is profoundly different from that of a few decades ago.

Then there is the issue of the elderly.
